Lunch Bunch: Top Cats

A few weeks ago after attending a concert, my husband and I heard music out on the street. Of course we had to see where it was coming from, so we followed the crowd into a cozy restaurant known as Top Cats. T.C. the owner had a wonderful bluesy jazz band performing. Within moments of our arrival T.C. surprised and delighted the crowd, by joining the band to sing the show-stopping tune "Hello Dolly." It was wonderful! Ah, you say, 'but what of the food?' The Lunch Bunch just had to stop by to profile the eatery in detail!

As unique as its owner, Top Cats offers a fun-filled and interesting experience for your palette. The Cajun style restaurant is redolent with spice and life. From the warm colors used in the interior design and the smoky blues music played on the weekends, to the amazing food, this is a place where they understand that a dining experience is about more than just the food.

When the Lunch Bunch stopped in to sample a few entrees, Top Cats was buzzing with the happy chatter of people thoroughly enjoying their fare. Our conclusion-"What The Cat Drug In" a sampler of Cajun delectables wins hands down. It includes Gator Bites, fried green tomatoes and other tasty temptations. It was the perfect combination of mouth-watering, down-home cooking with a touch of the south thrown in for good measure. Cozy in size and big on atmosphere, Top Cats gets a big round of applause from the lunch bunch!
